To ensure the best possible quality, please prepare your files according to these specifications:
- File Formats: We recommend submitting files in PDF (Portable Document Format). We also accept high-quality TIFF, AI (Adobe Illustrator), PSD (Adobe Photoshop), and CDR (CorelDRAW) files.
- Color Mode: All files must be submitted in CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key/Black) color mode. Files submitted in RGB (Red, Green, Blue) will be converted, which may cause color shifts.
- Resolution: For standard print items, a resolution of 300 DPI (dots per inch) is required. For large-format printing, a resolution of 150 DPI is often sufficient, but please consult with our team.
- Bleed: Please include a 3-5 mm bleed on all sides of your artwork. Bleed is the area of the image that extends beyond the trim edge of the page, which ensures there are no white edges after cutting.
- Fonts: All fonts used in your design must be converted to outlines (curves) or fully embedded within the PDF to prevent font substitution errors.
There can be a slight difference between on-screen colors and final printed colors. This is a normal aspect of the printing process due to the different ways colors are created:
- Screens use RGB (Red, Green, Blue): Your monitor, phone, and camera create colors by emitting light. This is an "additive" color model, which can produce very bright and vibrant colors.
- Printers use CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black): Printing presses create colors by applying ink to paper. This is a "subtractive" color model, where colors are seen as light reflects off the ink.
- The RGB color spectrum is larger than the CMYK spectrum. We use professional calibration to minimize this difference, but minor variations are acceptable in the industry. For projects where color accuracy is critical, we recommend ordering a physical color proof.
The customer is fully responsible for the content of the provided files. Before submitting your order, please carefully proofread and check all details, including:
- Spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Correct dates, phone numbers, addresses, and other contact information.
- Layout, image placement, and overall composition.
Time to Print is not responsible for errors in customer-approved files. Our job is to reproduce the file you provide as accurately as possible.
We invest in state-of-the-art technology to guarantee high-quality results. Our facility is equipped with modern digital presses for fast turnarounds, high-precision offset machines for large volume orders, advanced large-format plotters for banners and posters, and specialized equipment for silk-screening and other custom jobs.
- Digital Printing: This method prints directly from a digital file. It's ideal for short runs (e.g., under 500 pieces), projects requiring a fast turnaround, and variable data printing (e.g., personalizing names on invitations).
- Offset Printing: This classic method uses printing plates to transfer ink to paper. It is the most cost-effective solution for large quantity orders and is known for producing the highest possible print quality, consistency, and color fidelity.
Our team will be happy to advise you on the best and most cost-effective method for your specific project.
